Smart Renovations is seeking an experienced and motivated Superintendent to lead day-to-day on-site operations for historic renovations, commercial construction, and repair projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing subcontractors, enforcing safety and quality standards, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. This is a key leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in the field and has a deep understanding of construction workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily site operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency

• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in compliance with company and OSHA standards

• Communicate regularly with project managers, owners, and inspectors to keep all parties informed

• Enforce project plans, drawings, and specifications on-site

• Track and report project progress, delays, and issues

• Ensure materials and tools are on-site and ready as needed

• Identify field issues and assist in real-time problem solving

• Maintain daily logs and contribute to project documentation

• Participate in project startup meetings, walkthroughs, and closeout

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction, including 5+ years in a supervisory role

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and building codes

• Proven experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades on-site

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schedules

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Proficiency in daily reporting and basic digital tools (email, mobile apps, etc.)

• OSHA 30 certification preferred

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Experience in historic renovation or working on older structures is a strong plus

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
