Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for residential and commercial renovation and repair projects

• Review architectural drawings, scopes, and specifications to perform takeoffs and generate pricing

• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids

• Work closely with project managers, architects, and owners during preconstruction to clarify details and develop cost-effective solutions

• Assist in developing and presenting proposals and client-facing sales materials

• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients

• Track ongoing bids, follow up on submitted proposals, and update project pipeline reports

• Coordinate with permitting offices and assist with scheduling inspections as needed

• Support the sales process by helping clients understand timelines, costs, and scope

• Use estimating and project management software (Acumatica; training provided)

• Visit job sites as needed for takeoffs, progress checks, and post-bid analysis

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in estimating, sales, or project coordination within the construction industry (historic renovation experience is a plus)

• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods

• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, drawings, and specifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with estimating software or project management platforms a plus

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional demeanor when working with clients and vendors

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines at once

• Comfortable working both in the office and on-site to gather information and verify conditions

• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to solving problems and delivering results

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
