Smart Renovations is looking for a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to assist on job sites for historic renovations, commercial builds, and residential repair projects. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the construction industry while working alongside a skilled and supportive team. Starting pay: Based on experience, most likely more than your previous position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general site cleanup, debris removal, and jobsite organization

• Assist tradesmen and carpenters with manual tasks and project prep

• Load, unload, and stage materials and tools

• Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision

• Deliver materials to and from job sites as needed

• Help maintain jobsite safety and cleanliness

• Support setup and breakdown of temporary protection, signage, and work zones

• Learn and follow company safety procedures and jobsite protocols

• Assist in moving and installing light fixtures, cabinetry, and other components when needed

Qualifications:

• Previous construction experience preferred but not required — we’ll train the right person

• Willingness to learn and follow directions from supervisors and tradespeople

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in varying conditions

• Basic understanding of hand tools and safety practices

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Must be punctual, respectful, and work well as part of a team

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
